Marie started her career in veterinary medicine working in kennels. After a short time, she was promoted to a receptionist and assistant position. She then attended Purdue University to study veterinary technology. Since graduating in 2001, she has worked as a Licensed Veterianry Technician. She joined Kalamazoo Animal Hospital in July, 2017, shortly after her family relocated from Fort Wayne, IN.
She has a husband, two sons, one dog, and multiple cats. She enjoys playing music, reading books, playing with her kids, and watching TV.
Marie says, "My favorite part of veterinary medicine is helping animals feel better. It's very rewarding to see pets recover from illnesses and injuries - there's nothing better than seeing a pet come in feeling terrible then see them later wagging their tail and happy again."
